Landing a job you want is both an art and a science. Art is the soft side of job hunting. It includes such things as what you say, how you say it, socializing, and more. The science aspect is what sets you apart from fellow job seekers.
Science is the process behind your success. It includes such activities as
- Researching organizations, individuals, industries, and the like
- Conducting informational interviews
- Following up with referrals and interested organizations
- Distributing cover letters, resumes, and inquiry letters matching your skills and goals
