“Treat Everyone Like a CEOTM” is our most requested Smart Exercise. It is also the #1 leadership strategy and relationship building exercise on YouTube. This exercise was designed specifically to change people’s perspective. Participants gain invaluable insights into how they treat others. It is very fun (watch the video), especially when there is a larger crowd (Our CEO has done this with as many as ~1,200 people). The learning is eye-opening for some and a nice, gentle reminder for most delivered in a truly unique way.

BUILDING CAPACITY WITH SMART EXERCISES

Throughout the training program, Ira Koretsky, CEO of The Chief Storyteller®, shared a variety of business workplace exercises focused on building capacity. Areas included thinking on your feet faster; positive self-talk; active listening; messaging and positioning (e.g., elevator speech/elevator pitch); effective body language; vocal variety; public speaking; building relationships; improving confidence; and business storytelling.

Example exercises included:  “Name that Noun,” “1-2-3,” “Bunny, Bunny, Bunny,” “Poke Your ‘I’ Out,” and “That’s Interesting, Tell Me More.”

From Ira Koretsky:  “Having performed improvisational comedy for more than 12 years and in more than 1,000 shows [with ComedySportz], I blended the best aspects of improv and communication to create a library of business workplace exercises–Smart Exercises. ‘Treat Everyone Like a CEO’ is my all-time favorite. It is a very powerful exercise about perspective. It gets you thinking VERY differently about how you view others, treat others, and in the end, how you view and treat yourself.”
